Abstract

The present work refers to the development, assembly and tests of a noncontacting neonatal Respiratory Monitor. The transducer explores the electric interaction between a sensor plate and the thorax, resulting in a variable capacitar, this capacitar belongs to the tunning circuit of a 5MHz give wave oscillator. The superficial displacement of the thorax with the electrically conversed in a perturbation of the transducer central oscillatian frequency i.e., frequency modulation. This signal passses through a procassing unit composed by demodulating, filtration and amplification, circuit the output is an analog signal corresponding to the thoraxic moviement. This monitor own the apnoea ocorrency supervision circuit.
