Um estimulador óptico, usado na avaliação do sistema neurovisual através de potencial evocado visual, foi desenvolvido a partir de um microprocessador 8085. No protótipo construído os padrões ópticos (xadrez e barras horizontais e verticais) são apresentados na tela de um televisor em preto-e-branco, nos modos de estimulação alternado e reversivo. Os parâmetros de estimulaçâo são selecionados no painel frontal.

An optical stimulator needed for evaluating the visual system was built using an 8085 microprocessor. The prototype presents optical patterns to patients on black and white TV set in reversing or alternating stimulation modes. The user selects the parameters of the stimulation through switches on the stimulator panel.
