Resumo

Ellipticine and their derivatives are a class of molecules that shows antitumor and eytotoxic aetivity, with multimodal mechanism of aetion. In this work we report a preliminary study of the eleetronic strueture of Ellipticine and some molecules derived from it. We have shown that a relationship between charge density distnbution and the biological seleetivity exists in these molecules. A mechanism to improve the antitumor aetivity is proposed.
